Entertaining excursion in two cities, Larnaca and Nicosia , where you will learn the history of Cyprus, see monuments and visit traditional Cyprus villages.
Fist stop is the Church of Panagia Aggeloktistis .This Byzantine church is from the 11th century, and means “built by Angels” and was built on the ruins of an early Christian basilica from the 5th century.
Next stop Hala Sultan Tekke .The monument is located on the west bank of the Salt Lake and was erected over different phases, commencing from 1760 and completed in 1817.
We drive incite Larnaka and we visit Agios Lazaros Church ,located in its own square in the center of town, the magnificent stone church of Agios Lazaros is one of the most remarkable examples of Byzantine architecture in Cyprus and lies over the tomb of the saint.
Our next stop will be Lefkara village .Located in the Larnaka (Larnaca) region, the mountainous village of Lefkara is split into Pano Lefkara and Kato Lefkara (higher and lower Lefkara), and is world-renowned for its traditional handicrafts of lace embroidery and filigree silver.
Nicosia the capital /Overnight /Dinner
Our fist stop is National Museum Nicosia.
Next stop is Panagia Asinou Church. Located on the east bank of a stream, 3km from the mountainous village of Nikitari, Panagia Asinou Church is a small church dedicated to the Virgin of ‘Phorbia’. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and contains some of the finest Byzantine wall paintings on the island, dating from the 12th to the 17th century.
Our next stop is Kakopetria village. Kakopetria is located in the Troodos mountain range, in Solea Valley of Lefkosia (Nicosia) region. The old quarter of the village – with its narrow, stone-paved alleysand its traditional houses with their wooden balconies have been restored – has been declared a protected cultural heritage site.
