Drive to Troodos. With an altitude of almost 2000 m, Olympus is the highest peak in Cyprus. At the same time, rock formations are emerging in several places that are otherwise only found on the seabed, thus forming part of the oceanic crust of Cyprus. We hike along an enchanted mountain and forest landscape with black pines bent by the weather, state tree junipers and bizarre rock formations. The exposed location of this nature trail around Mount Olympus offers a fantastic panorama and magnificent views over the island along the way.  hotel 3* Mountains

Two of the most beautiful barn-roof churches on the island are the starting and ending points of our hike today. The barn-roof church Stavros tou Agiasmati enchants us with Byzantine frescoes. From here, a steady ascent leads through sparse pine forest to the highest point of today’s hike at 1200 m. We continue in slight ups and downs and our gaze wanders over artfully terraced vineyards. A donkey path then leads down to the village of Lagoudhera with the barn-roof church of Panagia tou Araka from 1192. In the former monastery complex we enjoy a rustic picnic.  Hotel  Mountains 3*.

We hike in the Troodos on the path of the spring goddess Persephone at an altitude of 1,720 m. From the slopes of Mount Olympus, there are always new views over the mountains, most of which are covered with pine trees. The Caledonian nature trail then continues to the waterfalls of the same name and from here along the stream bed to the mountain village of Platres. Continue to Omodos and the most famous wine village in Cyprus.

In the Archaeological Park of Kato Paphos, we visit the royal tombs from the Hellenistic period and admire the development of mosaic art from the Hellenistic to the Roman period  in renowned houses of the Roman Forum (Dionysus, Theseus, Achilles, Aion). Not far from the Roman Forum is the site around the Church of Chrysopolitissa with the Pauline Column, where different religious periods followed one another. Free time at the port. Continue to the church of Ayia Paraskevi with valuable frescoes from different periods. At the end of the day, you will visit  the hermitage and adjoining monastery community of the local patron saint, St. Neophytos, . Return to the hotel via the villages of Tala and Kissonerga. Today we have a beautiful hike on the southwestern coast of Cyprus, where we follow in the footsteps of Aphrodite – the goddess of love. We start at the Rock of Aphrodite (Petra tou Romiou), where, according to Homer, the goddess of love rose from the waves of the sea. During our excursion, we always have a magnificent view of the turquoise sea and the rugged coastline – what a panorama. In addition, the rich vegetation delights the heart of every hiker. Cyprus is a paradise for botanists and nature lovers with over 130 endemic plants. At the end of the hike, we will be rewarded with a tasty picnic with Cypriot specialties and wine! After the picnic we drive back to the hotel 3* Pafos

We hike on the Smigies hiking trail in the western part of the island in the Akamas Nature Reserve. During the hike we pass an abandoned magnesium mine. Particularly striking here is the yellow rodweed Ferula Communis, also known as the “staff of Prometheus”. The demigod is said to have stolen the fire of the gods of Olympus into the hollowed-out stem and brought it to the people. The destination of our hike is the picnic area Smigies, where a delicious picnic awaits us.
