infinite beauty meets legend and tradition. It instantly brings to mind
Aphrodite’s birthplace, enchanting us with the endless blue of the sky and the
sea. Then we visit Apollon Hylates, God of the Woodland, was the protector of Kourion and it is believed that he was worshipped at the site from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. His sanctuary was an important religious center and underwent many extensions and alterations in different periods. Finally The archaeological remains of Kourion – which was one of the island’s most important city-kingdoms in antiquity – are of the most impressive on the island, and excavations have unearthed many significant finds, which can be viewed at the site.

The city-kingdom was built on the hills of the area, and overlooked and controlled the fertile valley of the river Kouris. According to archaeological finds, evidence suggests that Kourion was associated with the Greek legend of Argos of Peloponnese, and that  its inhabitants believed they were descendants of Argean immigrants. The once-flourishing kingdom was eventually destroyed in a severe earthquake in 365 AD.

A unique experience to taste in total 5 premium and Single Vineyard wines, selected by Marcos Zambartas. Start the tasting with newly released and older vintages, followed by our Single Vineyard wines, which are produced from vineyards to which we apply organic and regenerative viticulture. Vlasidis Winery was completed in 2012 and follows the principles of sustainable development.

The Winery was designed by architect Heracles Papachristou in modern, clean-cut lines; a contemporary building which blends perfectly with the landscape, situated in an 8 hectares plot, surrounded by its vineyards.

A large part of the Winery is literally buried deep into the hill, while the rest of the building gradually comes into view as it follows the contours of the land.
